The Dolly Parade is the kickoff tradition for Springfest. Sevier County’s favorite girl, Dolly Parton, is the grand marshal for the 24th annual Springfest Kickoff. The Dolly Parade typically brings in over 50,000 parade goers and guests each year. Pack your bags and come to Pigeon Forge TN to watch colorful floats, marching bands from all over the area, entertainers, and even local celebrities make their appearance at the annual Dolly Parade.

The 24th Annual Dolly Parade will begin on River Road, right at traffic light #7 and The Old Mill Restaurant. The Dolly Parade will travel North down the Parkway, stopping at Belz Factory Outlet close to traffic light #3 and Wears Valley Road. The Dolly Parade starts at 6:00 pm. Because of the high volume of visitors and traffic, we recommend that you get there early to get a good seat. You do not want to miss any of the action. All the fun and entertainment will be going on right before your eyes.

Rod Run 2009

Fire up those engines and pack your bags for the 2009 Grand Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge TN. The downtown Parkway will start to glisten and glimmer in the sunlight on April 16 when the classic cars from yesteryear start driving into to Pigeon Forge. A new season brings new cars to the 2009 Spring Grand Rod Run. You will see shined up cars, souped up cars, fixer-uppers and even cars to buy. The Grand Rod Run is always one of the biggest car shows in the southeast, so course, you do not need to miss it.

The cars begin to line up at traffic light #3 and take up every available parking spot along the downtown Parkway. Hundreds of cars from Corvettes and Model-T’s to Bel-Airs and Camaros will line the Pigeon Forge Parkway. You will find every car you love in downtown Pigeon Forge Tennessee during the spring Rod Run 2009. The owners of these favorite classic cars are always nearby so feel free to stop and chat for a while because I promise you they love talking about their cars.

The cars are pretty but that is not all the 2009 Grand Spring Rod Run has to offer. At the vendor booths you will find vendors from all over the country ready to offer special demonstrations of some very special things. Need to know how to make your car go from barely cranking up to looking fantastic and running even better? Well, at the vendors booth you will find plenty of professionals that know how to take your car from zero to ten. They love questions so ask anything and remember to take notes so you can turn your cars look and sound around. During the day the cars line the strip and at night they form a constant parade up and down the Parkway.
